Climb 'Til Your Dream Comes True by Helen Steiner Rice
Often your tasks will be many, And more than you think you can do. Often the road will be rugged And the hills insurmountable, too. But always remember, The hills ahead Are never as steep as they seem, And with Faith in your heart Start upward And climb 'til you reach your dream. For nothing in life that is worthy Is ever too hard to achieve If you have the courage to try it, And you have the faith to believe. For faith is a force that is greater Than knowledge or power or skill, And many defeats turn to triumph If you trust in God's wisdom and will. For faith is a mover of mountains, There's nothing that God cannot do, So, start out today with faith in your heart, And climb 'til your dream comes true!

It's the Journey That's Important by John McLeod
Life, sometimes so wearying Is worth its weight in gold The experience of traveling Lends a wisdom that is old Beyond our 'living memory' A softly spoken prayer: "It's the journey that's important, Not the getting there!"
Ins and outs and ups and downs Life's road meanders aimlessly? Or so it seems, but somehow Leads us where we need to be, And being simply human We oft question and compare... "Is the journey so important Or the getting there?"
And thus it's always been That question pondered down the ages By simple men with simple ways To wise and ancient sages... How sweet then, quietly knowing Reaching destination fair: "It's the journey that's important, Not the getting there!"

The Guy in the Glass by Dale Wimbrow
When you get what you want in your struggle for self And the world makes you king for a day Just go to the mirror and look at yourself And see what that man has to say.
For it isn't your Father or Mother or wife Whose judgement upon you must pass. The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life Is the one staring back from the glass.
Some people may call you a straight shooting chum And call you a wonderful guy, but the man in the glass says you're only a bum If you can't look him straight in the eye.
He's the fellow to please, never mind all the rest For he's with you clear to the end, And you have passed your most dangerous test If the man in the glass is your friend.
You may face the whole world down the pathway of life And get pats on the back when you pass, But your final reward will be heartache and strife If you've cheated the man in the glass.

The Challenge by Jim Rohn
Let others lead small lives, But not you. Let others argue over small things, But not you. Let others cry over small hurts, But not you. Let others leave their future In someone else's hands, But not you.

My Wage by Jessie B. Rittenhouse
I bargained with life for a penny, And life would pay no more, However I begged at evening When I counted my scanty store;
For life is a just employer, He gives you what you ask, But once you have set the wages, Why, you must bear the task.
I worked for a menial's hire, Only to learn dismayed, That any wage I had asked of life, Life would have paid.

Watch By Frank Outlaw
Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

Equipment By Edgar A. Guest
Figure it out for yourself, my lad, You've all that the greatest of men have had, Two arms, two hands, two legs, two eyes And a brain to use if you would be wise. With this equipment they all began, So start for the top and say, "I can."
Look them over, the wise and great They take their food from a common plate, And similar knives and forks they use, With similar laces they tie their shoes. The world considers them brave and smart, But you've all they had when they made their start.
You can triumph and come to skill, You can be great if you only will. You're well equipped for what fight you choose, You have legs and arms and a brain to use, And the man who has risen great deeds to do Began his life with no more than you.
You are the handicap you must face, You are the one who must choose your place, You must say where you want to go, How much you will study the truth to know. God has equipped you for life, but He Lets you decide what you want to be.
Courage must come from the soul within, The man must furnish the will to win. So figure it out for yourself, my lad. You were born with all that the great have had, With your equipment they all began, Get hold of yourself and say: "I can."

Don't Dwell Author Unknown
Don't dwell on what might have been or the chances you have missed. Or the lonely nights that lie between the last time lovers kissed. Don't grasp too hard the memory of the things that never came. The door that did not open or the wind that killed the flame. There is still time enough to live...And time enough to try again. Be Happy.
