I've had a few people ask me about how to build a website like the one that I have or whether or not making a living from home is possible. I'm horrible at writing sales copies/letters so I'm not even going to try. So what I'll do instead is give you the background on how I came to build this site, some thoughts, and leave it at that.
I used to have a 9-5 job that I hated. The only reason why I put up with it was because I needed the money to pay the bills. Fortunately, the job I had involved using a computer so during my idle time, I would surf the web looking for something, anything to help me get out of my current situation.
I somehow ended up reading a site about making a living online using a website. At the time, I had no idea how websites were built so I started to look for more information on it and eventually stumbled on a website building program called SiteSell.
The thing that drew me to this company was that there were tons of people with all sorts of backgrounds who were able to start their website/online business with the help of this program. Here's a list of some of the successful sites that their members were able to create: Successful SBI Sites
As you can see, there are all different types of sites that can be built. The age of these site owners range from teenagers to people over 60 years old. I don't know for sure but my guess is that most of the members were like me and didn't know much about websites when they first got started.
Long story short, I went through their process of creating a website and Motivational-Well-Being.com was born. This site gets thousands of visitors a day and aside from being able to make a living from home, the best part is that I get to write about a topic that I'm passionate about.
The cost for this program is $299 a year which is about $25 a month. I actually had to think about joining for several weeks because that's not exactly pocket change even though for a business, it's nothing. At the same time though, I knew I had to make some sort of a change, at least an effort, in order to put myself in a better situation down the road. After a few weeks of debating and constantly dreading going to work, I decided to just go for it and I'm so glad I did.
There are certainly cheaper ways to start a website, in fact, you can put up a website for free if you wanted to with one of the free available blogs that are out there. For me, I didn't just want to stick up a website, I wanted a site that would attract visitors and having a program to walk me step by step through everything really helped out a lot. My site wouldn't be as successful as it is had I just tried to figure everything out on my own.
Anyway, I'm not here to try to convince you to sign up. I just wanted to share my story of how this site came into existence and how I was able to work from home for the past few years for those who were wondering. It took a lot of work to build my site up to where it is today but it was well worth it.
